Nursing programs are seeing an increase in cost.

Here’s why.

By Lisa Lacey | 10/12/2017 12:22:37CBC News – Nursing programs have seen an increase, according to a report from the Canadian Nursing Association.

The association said that between March 2016 and March 2017, the average annual cost for a nurse in Ontario and the territories rose by $3,900 and $3.15 per day.

The number of nurses who are licensed to practice in Ontario has increased by 10 per cent, from 790 in 2015 to 1,500 in 2019.

The nursing programs in the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia are not yet certified, which means the boards of nursing are still in the process of deciding whether to offer them.
