A nurse uniform with a ‘Trump’ badge on the front is being worn by a number of US nurses as a symbol of solidarity with President Donald Trump’s immigration policy.
The nurse uniform was first spotted by ABC News and was spotted in the hospital in New York on Monday.
ABC News reporter Sarah Smith said the uniform was worn by three women at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
“The nurses were wearing it, and they were wearing the flag, and it was a symbol for solidarity,” she said.
“They’re all here, and one of them is wearing a badge for the president, so it’s very much a statement that they’re here and they’re proud of their country.”
The nurse uniforms are the latest in a growing number of similar designs that have become increasingly popular in recent years.
The US has more than 4 million nurses, according to the National Nurses United union.
The nurses union has been calling for an end to the Trump administration’s restrictions on refugees and asylum seekers entering the country.

The new nurse uniforms also have a striking resemblance to Trump’s controversial immigration policy, which is meant to protect the health of undocumented immigrants and their families.
A recent poll by the Pew Research Center found that 78 per cent of Americans oppose allowing undocumented immigrants to stay in the country, and 74 per cent oppose allowing them to work and support their families here.
Many of the nurses are not American citizens, and many of them have faced discrimination for being foreign-born, said Elizabeth Cady, an immigration attorney at the advocacy group United We Dream.
“If you’re an immigrant, if you’re a mother, if your child is undocumented, they’re not American,” she told ABC News.
Cady added that many nurses are now wearing the nurse uniform in solidarity with their immigrant families.
As a nurse, Cady said, she was concerned that many immigrants are afraid to speak out.
“It’s an anxiety that they don’t want to be known as the woman who doesn’t know what’s happening here,” she added.
“So I’ve seen nurses wear the nurses uniform, and I’ve also seen mothers wearing it.
I’ve just seen mothers wear it, too, and that makes me very sad.”

Trump signed the bill, which passed the House but failed to pass the Senate, on Wednesday.
The bill allows states to waive their coverage requirements for health insurers and other entities that provide abortion services, such as Planned Parenthood, or those that provide contraception.
The Trump administration has called on the Senate to pass its bill.
However, Republican senators have been wary of the legislation.
Several Republicans have spoken out against the bill as well, including Sens.
Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia and John McCain of Arizona.
Trump has said that he is opposed to the bill because it is “so unfair” to immigrants.
“I am not for it,” he said on Tuesday.
He added that the bill would hurt his base of supporters.
“When I’m running for office, we have to win every vote we get, because we have a base of support,” he told reporters in New Mexico on Tuesday, adding that he had already “made some decisions” about the bill.
“What they want to do is to gut Obamacare,” he added.
Despite his opposition, Republican leaders in the House of Representatives voted Tuesday to pass their bill.
